Spiritual Direction

A reflective, prayerful space to listen deeply and live with a greater awareness of God’s presence.

Spiritual direction is a gentle, spacious practice of listening for God’s presence in your everyday life. It’s less so about being “directed” and more so about joining with a companion trained to hold sacred, non-judgmental space as you reflect, wrestle, and discern.

Rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, spiritual direction invites you to slow down and notice how God may be present and at work in your questions, longings, joys, or places of pain. It can be especially meaningful in seasons of transition, spiritual dryness, and for those questioning their faith through deconstruction.

Whether you feel close to God, are wondering where God is, or aren’t sure what you believe anymore, you are welcome here. This is a space to be fully yourself and gently explore what’s unfolding within and around you.

I’m currently being trained as a spiritual director through the Selah program with Leadership Transformations, Inc. Please reach out if you have any questions or are interested in exploring spiritual direction.

Words from a Directee

“Each session with Elise begins with a gentle invitation—a reading or reflection that sets the tone for deep inner listening. From there, Elise creates a spacious and compassionate container where I’m encouraged to explore what’s coming up for me. She asks the kind of thoughtful, soul-deep questions that don’t just invite insight—they invite encounter. There’s often silence, stillness, tears, or moments where I genuinely feel like I’m being spoken to directly by God. It’s hard to explain unless you’ve felt it, but there’s a clarity and peace that comes from being in that space—like I’m remembering something truer than the fear or confusion I walked in with.” - Julia
