FAQs

  • I provide treatment to these kind of problems and clients:

    • Navigating life transitions (such as life after college, getting married, becoming a parent, loss of a loved one, loss of identity)

    • Those who would consider themselves “highly sensitive”— feeling easily overwhelmed by emotions, environments, or the needs of others.

    • Anxiety— chronic worry, racing thoughts, difficulty slowing down

    • Existential questions and meaning-making— feeling lost, stuck, questioning purpose, or experiencing spiritual confusion

    • Low self-esteem and self-criticism— harsh inner voice, feeling “not good enough”, or struggling with self-compassion

    • Spiritual struggles— faith transitions, spiritual dryness, wrestling with beliefs, or desiring a deeper spiritual life intrigued with emotional health

  • In a typical session, you can expect a calm, non-judgmental space where you can slow down and really check in with yourself. I’ll invite you to share what’s on your mind or heart that day, and we’ll explore it together with curiosity and compassion.

Depending on what you’re needing, sessions might include talking through thoughts and feelings, noticing what’s happening in your body, reflecting on patterns, or exploring meaning and values. Some clients like to integrate mindfulness or grounding practices as part of their sessions as well. I want you to leave feeling seen and supported, with greater clarity, empowerment, or calm to carry into your week.

  • My standard fee is $200 for individual therapy (45 minutes). I am out of network for insurance, but I am happy to provide a superbill for reimbursement. This would mean that you would pay the session fee and later seek reimbursement from your insurance company. You will be responsible for all costs upfront.

Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits. I would encourage you to call your insurance company to learn more about these benefits.

  • Depending on where you are in Fairfield County, we can meet at a variety of parks and trails. We can move gently through nature while we talk, or sit on a bench and enjoy the environment as we talk. Walk-and-talk sessions are great for those who feel more grounded outside or who find it easier to process while walking. If weather impacts our ability to meet outside, we would switch to a telehealth session.

  • Therapy is a weekly or biweekly session that addresses mental health and emotional well-being. Therapy is a clinical space that provides evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. It can help with anxiety, grief, life transitions, trauma, emotional regulation, and relationships. The goal is to support you in emotional healing, resilience, and healthy functioning. Therapy addresses all parts of ourselves, including spirituality.

Spiritual direction is a monthly session that is a contemplative practice rooted in silence, deep listening, and sacred attention. It is not clinical or diagnostic, and is open to wherever you are spiritually. It focuses on your relationship with God, spiritual questions, and inner longings.

  • Not at all. My approach is welcoming to wherever you are on your spiritual or non-spiritual path. Therapy is clinical and inclusive; spiritual direction is biblically rooted but always spacious and invitational.
